Measuring the Earth is a work about distance and traversal.

In this workshop, participants walk together from PARADISE AIR (in Matsudo City, Chiba) to Tokyo Skytree in silence, without a map.

As we walk, we read the landscape non-verbally. What is it telling us?

As we walk, we measure the earth with our bodies and footsteps. How far will we travel?


As we walk, we carry a memento of something we want to get closer to. How do we get from here to there, wherever here is and wherever there may be?
